The Arucas City Council, through the Department of Culture and Festivities led by Dulce González, is launching a new project to restore several of the municipality's artworks. These include pieces by the artist and "Favorite Son of the City," Manolo Ramos—located in the Municipal Museum's permanent gallery as well as in public spaces such as *Capricho* in Manolo Ramos Square and the *El Santo Calvario* sculptural group in the Municipal Cemetery. "Our goal is to continue enriching the municipal artistic heritage in order to foster the cultural, educational, and ultimately humanistic growth of our citizens," explained Dulce González. She expressed confidence that "the restoration results will be extraordinary, and the artworks will regain their splendor, continuing to serve as cultural landmarks for the municipality." Fine Arts graduate and restorer Isidro Larizgoitia Masa is in charge of the project, which will run until early December. The commission covers both the improvement of works already on display and the restoration of recently acquired pieces that will expand the collection. These include four still-life paintings purchased last year from the Pérez García family; they constitute a highly valuable set that complements the artist's educational and artistic vision. In addition to the aforementioned pieces, various movable heritage items from the early 20th century housed in the Municipal Museum will also be restored and highlighted.
